Policy 500: Statement of Guiding Principles
Every student has a basic right to attend school. His or her primary purpose in attending school is to engage in learning and his or her cooperation and dedication is fundamental to obtaining a quality education.
The board of trustees seeks to protect the rights of each student and promote the welfare of the student body. These student policies are intended to facilitate a quality experience for students in all activities related to the educational program. Each student should have the opportunity to experience activities and learning situations that will enable him or her to become a useful and productive citizen.
Students must be residents of Franklin County and Preston School District and reside with parents or legal guardian.
